The information we collect and why

Enquiries and correspondence: name, contact details and message content. Lawful basis: legitimate interests to respond and run our business, or contract/consent depending on context.

Table bookings: name, contact details, booking details and (if applicable) payment information handled by our provider; dietary requirements you choose to share. Lawful basis: contract; legal obligation for financial records; explicit consent for any health data (e.g., allergies).

Marketing: name, contact details and preferences. Lawful basis: consent (opt-in). In some cases we may rely on legitimate interests for the PECR “soft opt-in” to similar services; you can opt out any time.

Website analytics and performance: IP address, device/browser data, pages visited and interactions via cookies or similar technology. Lawful basis: consent for non-essential cookies; legitimate interests for strictly necessary cookies and security.

Site security and fraud prevention: technical logs and security events. Lawful basis: legitimate interests to keep our services secure.

Guest Wi-Fi device identifiers and connection logs. Lawful basis: legitimate interests to provide and secure Wi-Fi.

CCTV at the premises: images in public areas. Lawful basis: legitimate interests for safety and crime prevention.

Where we get your information

We collect information directly from you when you contact us, make a booking or visit our premises; from booking and payment partners you choose to use; and from analytics or social platforms when you interact with our website or pages.

Who we share it with

We use trusted providers, Seren Web, who process data on our instructions under contract, e.g. website hosting, reservations, payments, analytics/consent management and email services. We may share information with law enforcement if required by law or to protect legal rights.

How long we keep your information

Enquiry emails and forms: 24 months after last contact. Booking and invoice records: 6–7 years. Marketing lists: until you unsubscribe or your address is inactive for 24 months. Security logs: 12 months. Guest Wi-Fi logs (if used): 90 days. CCTV (if used): 30 days unless needed for an incident.

We permanently delete or anonymise data when retention periods end.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct and delete your data; to restrict or object to processing (especially direct marketing); to withdraw consent where we rely on consent; and to data portability in some cases. To exercise your rights, contact us using the details above. We may ask for proof of identity and aim to respond within one month.
